Based on a measurement campaign, it was estimated that some 750 to 1,000 kg of silicone paper ends up in our residual waste every year. Definitely worth investigating further!
There are several recycling companies dedicated to collecting and recycling silicone paper, which can be reused in the production of new material.
However, our estimated quantities turned out to be too small for large recycling companies to collect. Therefore, Tensio decided to arrange its own transport to take the collected material to the processing site.
After educating our staff on exactly what was allowed to be collected, collection could effectively start.
